Hi,
hope you are doing well.
today we will talk about the foundation that makes up your ‘mindset’. Inherent beliefs.
If you want some insights about this, you can read the issue # 2 here.
lets begin.
Ever felt like your beliefs about yourself or anything in your life were un-changeable or fixed?
Its like you have a small post-it in your mind about what x or y mean and there is no change you can make to it..because.. well.. you never thought about it in a different way.
Lets understand firstly what this means.
‘Inherent’
essentially means something existing ‘permanently’ and ‘inseparably’ within us, like a stubborn thought that just won't budge.
Other words we can use to understand ‘inherent’ are 'fixed' and 'deep-rooted’;
‘Belief’ is our ‘feeling’ of being sure that something exists/is true/ not true.
i.e. fixed or deep rooted beliefs shape how we view the world around us.
Take a moment to reflect on your own life. Ever found yourself thinking, "I need a specific job title to be successful" or "I'll be more confident once I achieve X"?
Welcome to the world of inherent beliefs.
Speaking from my own experience
I was someone who believed that I needed a particular type of work exposure to climb the career ladder. In my mind, this specific job was my gateway to self confidence and success.
However, life had other plans. Family commitments prevented me from taking the leap, and I found myself trapped in an exhausting job, due to my inherent beliefs. The result? A persistent sense of unfulfillment and a never ending search for the 'right' job.
Now, its your turn to think
Can you think about the deep rooted beliefs that are guiding your life currently? Do you find yourself saying, "I can't do that because..." or "I'll be happy when..."?
It's time to straighten out the layers of inherent beliefs that might be holding you back from living your best life.
Consider this:
What if the key to unlocking your full potential lies in challenging these inherent beliefs?
What if success, confidence, and fulfillment are not tied to a specific job title or external validation, but rather, they flow from within?
Final thoughts
Think, note down, question and change your inherent beliefs (change your life!)
Think about the image I have shared here and know how powerful your beliefs are.
Next week: all about thinking of your ‘background’.
